the OY PROMISE
OY oysters are sourced mostly from Northland and Coromandel. Brigitte aims to source the best and freshest product that is available at the time. From time-to-time she will also source blast frozen product (meaning they keep in all their natural juices and good bits)–if this is the case she will always let you know.

About us
brigitte & Lew
Brigitte is the captain of this ship and has been in the fishing and seafood industry for over twenty years working as a fish quota broker. Having eaten and loved these oysters for a number of years, Brigitte wanted to be able to share their goodness with others.
Lew is the first mate, engineer, stewardess and deckhand on OY. He has been in the fishing industry since his teens, (we won't say exactly how long) as a commercial fisherman. As a man who knows a good idea when he hears it, Lew supported his wife's concept for OY and the rest is history.
we are drifters
When we venture out in OY we head to any number of locations. Our frequent spots are Wairoa river, Papamoa, the Mount or Matua–we decide on the day. Follow us on Facebook and stay notified on where we will be.
Events
Nothing beats fresh oysters, and when you have the opportunity to provide your guests with an amazing spread, why the heck wouldn't you?
Tell us how many people are coming to your next gathering and we will provide you with an estimate of how many oysters you might need, and what it might cost.
We can supply the oysters to your caterer, or work alongside them to assist with presentation and logistics.
Food truck
We love meeting fellow oyster lovers, but what we really enjoy is introducing new people to the oyster world!
We supply you with take-away oysters, fresh off the ice, that you can take home or eat with us.
Our wee, white food truck can be seen drifting around the Tauranga region. We keep locals up-to-date on our whereabouts via our Facebook page, so head over, like our page and follow us!
